Our donors and supporters will enjoy refreshments in Sitti’s special courtyard and celebrate both the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.

Change is a constant in Wake County today! WakeUP is working hard to make sure that our communities are sustainable and vibrant as we make decisions together about the future. We do that by engaging citizens — by working with elected and community leaders to encourage informed, smart planning that takes the natural and built environment into account. We believe that this work has never been more important than it is today.

This year we’ve done this through events and programs:

Educating stakeholders on affordable housing policies

Advocating for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and outreach to impacted communities

Supporting well-funded, green schools and encouraging safe routes to schools

Engaging policy makers and citizens on integrated One Water management to protect our wate
