Great Schools In Wake hosted three community meetings this fall. The coalition brought together elected officials from the school system and the board of commissioners with citizens to create a new vision of how to keep Wake schools the TOP choice for Wake County families. The group work focused on renewing a vision for a strong, diverse school system. Discussion included strategies to reduce high concentrations of poverty at some schools and promote diverse populations throughout the county while dealing with demands of growth and the efficient use of our school facilities.
