Wake continues to grow! Many towns in North Carolina are showing significant growth, and 6 out of the 10 fastest growing municipalities are in Wake County. Perhaps more surprising is that Rolesville is the fastest-growing town in the state!
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Rolesville has grown 52 percent since 2010 and has ten times more residents than were recorded in 1990. This recent jump in population means the town has surpassed Zebulon in population. The other five Wake towns listed in the top ten are: Fuquay-Varina, Morrisville, Holly Springs, Knightdale, and Wake Forest. All of these towns have grown by more than 50% in the five year period. Raleigh and Cary continue to grow as well; in the last five years Raleigh has grown 8.3 percent, and Cary has grown 13.7 percent, making it the 7th largest municipality in the state. Now more than ever it is imperative that our leaders invest in the future of our community and to preserve our high quality of life. Click here to read the full article.
