This is the key year for improving public transit in Wake County! That’s why on June 20th, WakeUP is hosting Wake Transit: moving us all forward, a community forum all about the Wake County Transit Plan and the incredible benefits of public transit.
We are excited to announce that the keynote speaker for this event will be US Secretary of Transportation and former Charlotte mayor, Anthony Foxx! Secretary Foxx will speak about the benefits of transit and how it will improve the lives of people around Wake County. The event will also feature local speakers talking about what is in the transit plan, and a panel of residents sharing their own transportation stories.
This year is a momentous opportunity for Wake County to expand and enhance our transit service, and we want all residents of Wake County to be informed.
