Mobility May

For the entire month of May we will be discussing several topics on social media and at organized events.

Above you’ll see the list of topics that we will cover for Mobility May. Most will be discussed on our social media and to stay up to date on the information we will be distributing please follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!

These are the listed events that you can attend this month for Mobility May:

May 6th:

May 8th:

  • Bike to School DayNational Bike to School Day is Wednesday, May 8th! Check here for participating schools and bring your kiddos, or show up for support, on your bike or on foot.

May 9th:

  • New Routes Public Hearing @ Council Chambers – 222 W. Harget St., 2nd floor at 4pm

May 10th:

  • BikeRaleigh Capital City Bike Ride @ Raleigh Union Station from 8am-9am Join city staff, elected officials, and fellow Raleighites for a casual morning ride through downtown Raleigh. This year we will be highlighting Citrix Cycle and some of our new downtown bike lanes. Register in advance here.

May 11th:

  • Bike Repairs @ Bond Park – Ride out to Bond Park for an afternoon of fun, lake-side and check out the new bike repair station at the Boathouse! Town staff will be available from 1-3 p.m. to provide an overview of the repair station and offer bike maintenance tips, so your ride is ready to go when you are. Plus, those that ride their bike to the park at that time can get a free sno-cone.
  • Marbles Kids Bike Rodeo –Hargett Street between Blount and Person Streets will be closed to vehicles from 8am to 3pm on May 11th for the Morbles Kids Bike Rodeo.

May 17th:

  • Bike Your Way to Work Day – 8am Citrix Cycle event @ Fayetteville St. Station & 4pm Citrix Cycle event @ Crank Arm Brewery
  • WakeUP Wake County Bike Your Way to Work Day Pit Stop from 7am-9am at WakeUP Wake County offices. We’re going to have snacks and swag for riders!

May 18th:

  • BikeRaleigh Family Picnic Ride from 10:30am-1:30pm Ride starts at Chavis Park. Grab a blanket, some food, and your family and join us for this greenway ride to the Dix Picnic in the Park event. Enjoy your picnic lunch while listening to music and playing games at Raleigh’s central park. Beer and wine are permitted.

May 22nd:

June 1st:

  • National Trails Day @ Joyner Park, Wake Forest, NC from 8am-1pm

Thinking of joining the Cross-Triangle Greenway Ride? Celebrate the East Coast Greenway’s most complete metropolitan stretch with our Cross-Triangle Greenway Ride! Enjoy a scenic, recreational ride from Durham through Cary to Raleigh, North Carolina – all on protected greenways. 40-mile and 25-mile options are available for cyclists of all ability levels. Note: Shuttle pick-up and drop-off is available for $10. Pre-ride shuttle will be from Transfer Co. Food Hall to the ride start in Durham. The post-ride shuttle will run from Transfer Co. Food Hall, back to the ride start Durham, with a stop at Bond Park.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
