Strong Message Advocating for Clean Water at Triennial Review

A variety of perspectives were represented at the Triennial Water Quality Public Hearing with DENR last week. The hearing took place in the Archdale Building downtown on November 19th at 1:30pm With twenty seven people speaking out for clean water and many more in attendance and agreement, the hearing definitely made a statement. The various groups that spoke out created a strong, non-repetitive message advocating for clean water in North Carolina. Not only was the Triangle well represented but also areas hours away. In conjunction to WakeUP’s comments, SELC, Haw River Assembly, Yadkin Riverkeeper, Tar-Pamlico Riverkeeper Foundation, Neuse Riverkeeper Foundation, and Sierra Club contributed strong statements.
