WakeUP Wake County Affordable Housing Series

WakeUP Wake County Affordable Housing Series

Lorena McDowell, Wake County Director of Housing Affordability & Community Revitalization, and the department’s Division Directors, Alicia Arnold and David Harris presented a status update on the implementation of the Wake County Affordable Housing Plan. Following, was an overview of the potential affordable housing bond and other affordable housing efforts by City of Raleigh staff, Niki Jones.

This was an opportunity for you to join a variety of stakeholders to learn about Wake County’s progress and the exciting things the county has planned for FY ’20-’21. It provided a better understanding of the City of Raleigh’s efforts focused on affordable housing.

People had the chance to network with other supporters of housing affordability, ask questions to the presenters and complete a brief survey to identify ways they would like to participate in future activities focused on addressing housing issues in the county and its municipalities.
