David is founder and Managing Partner of Carpenter Development and partnered with Trophy Brewing in 2008. He is on the Board of the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, Healing Transitions, and the Dogwood Bank Triangle Advisory Board. David was previously on the Board of the Raleigh Chamber, Dix Park, Artspace, Common Cause, North Carolinians for Redistricting Reform, and Raleigh City Museum.
