Wake County is known for its green spaces. Land use is the crux of how a community operates and grows by setting regulations for what can be built where. Most municipalities have a comprehensive land use plan, and some have more detailed plans that target specific neighborhoods or downtown areas. Many of our municipalities have comprehensive plans dedicated to parks and greenways.
